Tokyo Bookend Trip
My clients are both public school teachers and wanted to travel as soon as they were done grading their last test of the year. They were meeting family in Japan for a longer multi-city trip, but wanted my help planning two days before and after in Tokyo.
I found them a couple of great hotels that fit their vibe and public school teacher budget. The first is a hotel where each room is designed by a different artist, the second is a relaxing ryokan to spend time as a couple before heading home. I also created a curated list based on their interests–craft arts, books, arcades, and veggie-focused meals.

Booking with Kristen was an easy and enjoyable experience. She took our personal interests and experiences into mind and thoughtfully curated a list of places and activities we may like. We used the list as we were traveling around Tokyo and it helped us experience the city in a way we might not have without her help. Kristen was also intentional in the hotels she found for us to stay in, thinking about the natural flow of our trip and our needs. While we were away, she also checked in and kept tabs on an current events- for example, we experienced an earthquake while in Japan and Kristen immediately reached out to see if we were ok or needed anything. Kristen is an amazing travel consultant and we are so grateful for her guidance on this trip!

First time in Los Angeles for a family of 6
I love planning travel to Los Angeles! I want everyone to love it, especially first-time visitors.
My clients wanted to see places that were uniquely Los Angeles, some vintage shops for their college-aged girls, and ride bikes on the beach.
I created three day-long itineraries based on their Los Angeles list.
I was able to extend my travel advisor perks to get them extra special treatment at their hotel.
(I always include a recommendation or two around the client’s hotel to take the thoughtwork out of eating your first meal and where to get forgotten toothpaste)

I would recommend Kristen to anyone traveling to Los Angeles. She set up zoom meetings to discuss our wants/needs. This meeting was free. She created an itinerary and then took feedback to change and adjust. She helped plan each day so that we could time meals and activities and it worked out each time. She booked our tours and restaurant reservations which helped save me a lot of time. We had a couple issues on our trip and she took care of them and also gave suggestions for the days we were staying close to the hotel even though I didn’t pay her for those days. Kristen was great to work with. She even had the hotel provide us with snacks upon arrival.

Barcelona for Primavera Sound
Betsy was one of my first clients before I became a travel advisor. Planning her Barcelona Curated guide inspired me to put all of my travel knowledge to good use by helping to curate trips for others.
She wanted to explore the less touristy side of Barcelona for a first-time trip to the city to experience Primavera Sound. Look for this self-guided tour for sale soon.
“Kristen’s recommendations were invaluable for our trip to Barcelona. Her love of food led us to some of the most delicious meals, and her tips (book for dinner on Sunday because many restaurants aren’t open!) made sure we could enjoy the best the city had to offer without a wait or having to miss out. She really dives into a city and gets to know it, so you can be confident that you’re getting the best a place has to offer without winding up in a tourist trap.“
